Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Job description:

• Ensure to strictly follow-up and implement preventive maintenance as planned and required.
• Prevent and carry-out the failures of machinery at site.
• Ensure that facilities and employees at site are always in a good and safe condition.

Key responsibilities:

• • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, control panels, wiring and power distribution system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in equipment such as pellet mills, conveyors, mixers and automation system.
  • Replace or upgrade electrical components maintain operational efficiency and meet safety standards.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensor and control systems to ensure smooth operation and integration with plant equipment.
  • Diagnose issues in automation systems and assist in programming or reconfiguration as needed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance manager and external vendors to resolve complex automation challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of electrical systems and reduce energy consumption.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout and electrical safety protocol.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Report electrical performance issues and suggest improvements to the maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in preparing reports on electrical system performance and downtime analysis.

Education:

•   Diploma and certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
•   At least 03 years - experience in manufacturing (Hand on experience with PLCs, motor control systems)
